Villa Sal

Villa Sal sits on a working olive terrace outside Sóller, with sixty trees still under cultivation and a small press building included in the sale.

Stone that stays cool

The walls are local marés, lime-washed and nearly a metre thick, which keeps the interior at a usable temperature through August without mechanical cooling. The glazing is deep-set and shuttered on every opening.

The pool is cut flush with the upper terrace so that from the main room the water meets the valley without a visible edge. Six-year-old irrigation and a full solar array are already in place.
